we have just about gone crazy having non-stop house guests since june 17th. august should prove to be restful. what have we been doing? well...
paul's family came for a week, as well as my mom, and my dad. we all took a trip to a great cabin in gatlinburg, tn. my dad, brother, ben and I hiked up mount laconte in the great smoky mountains and back down (11.5 miles) one day. the kids loved playing together. mom stayed an extra week so i could go to girls' camp with the young women from our church. i had a great time. i am counting down the days until august 2nd when the 4th book from the stephenie meyer twilight series is released. spending all that time with my mom and cassie got me hooked on the books.
the day before my mom left ben's mom and twin sister flew in. we had them for 2 weeks and then drove them out to ben's brother's place and we all spent the weekend. we returned to our home to my dad. ben's mom and sister will be back here on monday until they leave for their home on the 31st. phew...
not to mention steel's 6th birthday.
